Vinyl-Lined Pools

The most popular type of inground swimming pool is a vinyl-lined swimming pool, which uses steel wall panels supported by steel braces. The shaped bottom of the swimming pool is usually formed by a combination of sand and cement that gives the bottom a hard, smooth surface. The vinyl liner is then placed over the steel panels and swimming pool bottom and is held in place using coping around the swimming pool's perimeter. Gunite or concrete swimming pools are also very popular.
